our man our Newmarket

ON the eve of our first meeting of the year here at
Newmarket as you see from my photo everything is ready and it is a big pity
people will not be able to come and enjoy it all, I hope you all enjoy it in
the comfort of your home though. Much effort has gone into getting the course
in great condition including watering the course recently, this is very
important as we have a number of two-year-old races over the course of the four
day fixture.

IT was very busy out on the gallops early this morning
where Charlie Appleby had his string in work,Godolphin plan to get out a number
of juveniles over the coming days and William Buick was in this morning to sit
on NOBLE DYNASTY, this son of Dubawi cost 3.6million Guineas at the sales, he
is out of Alina which is a Galileo mare, he has done enough work to be forward
enough to have his first race on Sunday but will not be asked to have a hard
race it is all about education at this stage of his career.

ON what was a very early start for me on the gallops my
morning was brightened by the sound of a Cuckoo and all the lovely Swallows
swooping over the heath. daveyoungman@btinternet.com
