O’Brien declares six for Investec Derby

Aidan O’Brien has declared six runners as he seeks a record eighth win in Saturday’s Investec Derby at Epsom.

Mogul looks to be O’Brien’s best chance of scooping the £500,000 prize in the Epsom showpiece but he also has hopes for Russian Emperor, Vatican City, Amhran Na Bhfiann, Mythical and Septentine.

Ryan Moore will ride Mogul with Seamie Heffernan aboard Russian Emperor and Padraig Beggy partnering Vatican City.

Frankie Dettori partners favourite English King, who has been drawn in stall one, in the 16-runner event which goes off at 16:55.

Qipco 2,000 Guineas winner Kameko and King Edward VII Stakes victor Pyledriver also add further strength to the field.
