Botox heading to Newbury

The Gerry Feilden Hurdle has been lined up as the next target for Botox Has following his impressive win at Cheltenham on Saturday.

Botox Has may have been off the track for 315 days but it didn’t show in the 2m hurdle, with the four-year-old running out a comfortable four-length winner over The Pink’n, with 11/8 favourite Allmankind back in third.

Botox Has has thrived since making the move from France to Gary Moore’s yard, with Saturday’s success under the trainer’s son Joshua his third in four starts in his new home.

Moore is now targeting the Newbury prize at the end of November for the gelding out of Dream Well.

“I was expecting a big run. He’s come back well and I’m very pleased with him,” Moore said.

“He ate up last night and walked out sound this morning so we live to fight another day.

“I’d say his next race would be the Gerry Feilden at the Hennessy meeting at Newbury towards the end November.

“The aim last season had been to go to Liverpool after he had won at Cheltenham in December, but then we had the pandemic so that was that.”
