Ruth Jefferson is eager to see if Waiting Patiently stays three miles in Kempton’s Ladbrokes King George VI Chase.
The nine-year-old, who only has 13 career races to his name, is preparing for his next outing in the Boxing Day showpiece event in Surrey.
Having ran in the King George two years ago, Waiting Patiently only managed to reach the ninth fence when he jumped into the back of Bristol De Mai and unseated jockey Brian Hughes.
Jefferson has admitted her runner is “physically fragile” and is keen to see whether he will go the distance in the big race on Saturday when you can also check out NonStopCasino
“I’m 99.9 per cent sure that is where we are going,” Jefferson told Nick Luck’s Daily Podcast.
“He’s just a horse who is a little bit physically fragile. He’s a horse who only takes three races a year anyway.”
She added: “Richard (Collins, owner) was very keen to try three miles again, so that is where we are going, the King George.”
