Valentine outing excites Jefferson

Ruth Jefferson is relishing the prospect of seeing Buster Valentine in the Ballymore Classic Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday.

After wins at Ayr and Newcastle, the six-year-old is now being aimed at strong opposition at Cheltenham this weekend.

Jefferson has been pleased with Buster Valentine’s recent successes and feels the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle will provide the ideal step up in class for her promising runner.

“Buster Valentine is in good form,” said Jefferson. “He has won his first two starts for us very nicely and he took the step up in trip well at Newcastle last time.

“The target now is the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham on Festival Trials Day.

“We are looking forward to running him there.”
